Training and Events

Training in Sandplay Therapy is modality-specific continuing education and does not by itself provide the qualifications to practise psychotherapy. It is the responsibility of all professionals to ensure that their use of Sandplay Therapy complies with provincial licensure or registration in order to practise under the umbrella of their chosen profession.

Calgary, AB - 2019 - 2020 Training

We are excited to announce a new series of Sandplay Therapy training modules to begin in 2019 in Calgary, Alberta. These 3-day training modules of 20 hours each will provide 100 hours of theory in partial fulfillment of the requirements for CAST/ISST certification.
Module 1: April 12-14, 2019
Module 2: November 15-17, 2019
Module 3: April 2020

Pricing (per module):
CAST Members: $700
Non Members: $770
One-time Administrative Fee (Module 1 only): $50
ATTENTION: If you haven't completed the previous module, please contact Beatrice Donald at beadonald@shaw.ca or Barbara Dalziel at barbara.dalziel@sympatico.ca BEFORE attempting to register for a subsequent module.

$150 deposit per module is due on registration. Balance owing will be due 30 days prior to scheduled training. Please pay in Canadian funds or equivalent.

Cancellations are subject to a $75 processing fee and once the balance owing date has passed, will only be refunded if your space can be filled. Registration is be limited to 16 participants.

Edmonton, AB - 2019 - 2020 Training

Montreal, QC - 2018 - 2019 Training - French ONLY

Toronto, ON - 2019 – 2020 Workshop & Training

Two-day Introductory Workshop - Dates: September 28 – 29 and October 19 – 20, 2019, future TBA.
The workshop is open to participants with any level of knowledge about Jungian Sandplay Therapy and offers a broad framework including experiential learning, exposure to clinical Sandplay case material, and a detailed review of ISST certification and steps toward achievement. The flyer below outlines the details of the program. No application form or interview is required. Facilitated by Maria Iosue.

Intensive Modules - November 23 – 27, 2019 or TBA, 2020.

Two 5-day intensive modules provide a deeper level of theoretical, experiential and clinical learning. It is intended for participants who wish to complete the full CAST Sandplay Training’s didactic component. See the flyer for more detail about its contents. Unlike the Introductory Workshop, admission to this level requires submission of a current CV, the Level I Training Application Form, and an interview with one or both of the Toronto facilitators. Maria Iosue and Olga Lipadatova co-teach the intensives.

Prior completion of the two-day Introductory Workshop is required to attend these intensives, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
